Biography

Attorney Hess was born August 13, 1968 in Neenah, Wisconsin. He was raised in Neenah and is a graduate of Neenah High School. Following graduation from high school, Attorney Hess attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in 1990. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and was a member of Psi Chi, the national honor society for psychology.

Upon graduating from U.W.-Madison, Mr. Hess decided to attend law school. He wanted to be a lawyer primarily in order to help people, especially those people who were at a disadvantage – whether financially, for socioeconomic reasons or were simply on an uneven playing field when dealing with the state, a large insurance company, etc. Attorney Hess graduated from law school in 1994.

Because Attorney Hess graduated from an out-of-state law school, he was required to sit for the Wisconsin Bar Examination. Attorney Hess successfully passed the examination and was sworn in before the Wisconsin Supreme Court in April of 1995. Upon being sworn in and receiving his law license, Attorney Hess began working at a small general practice firm, where he gained experience representing clients with all types of legal problems. He then began working for an insurance company, where he gained extensive trial experience and learned firsthand how the insurance industry handles claims and treats injured parties.

Attorney Hess joined Gruber Law Offices in February of 2004. He specializes in representing injured people. He believes that excellent legal representation involves not only experience, but compassion, communication, and hard work. His dedication, experience, and diligence have resulted in successful outcomes for his clients. He has successfully handled and resolved large cases in excess of $1,000,000.00, as well as smaller cases on behalf of his clients. However, he believes that regardless of the size or value of a case, the same commitment, effort, and compassion should be shown to all clients.
