We’re excited to share a major victory: our team secured a $1,000,000.00 settlement in a complex motorcycle crash case.
This case was primarily handled by Gruber Law Attorneys Matt Garman and Nick Hermann, with significant contributions from several other team members.
This crash happened in Madison, Wisconsin. Our client suffered a head injury and serious orthopedic injuries in a crash. The driver made an improper left turn, and we argued based on information we gathered that the front seat passenger directed that maneuver.
The insurance company initially offered to tender its $500,000 policy limit after we worked up the case and made our formal demand, but we didn’t stop there. We successfully argued that the passenger’s active negligence constituted a second occurrence under the policy. Thanks to a compelling case presentation and strong arguments of Wisconsin law, the insurance company agreed. The insurance company paid an additional $500,000, bringing the total to $1 million.
