Biography

Attorney Zabkowicz was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin and is a graduate of William Horlick High School. Attorney Zabkowicz’s family has always been very active in the Racine community. During her childhood, Attorney Zabkowicz loved helping her father out on the sidelines of the Racine Raiders Football Team and behind the stages of HarborFest. After graduating high school, Attorney Zabkowicz attended the University of Wisconsin Madison, where she was actively involved in local and national politics. After graduating, she worked for a few years on political campaigns in Wisconsin, South Carolina, and Florida.

Attorney Zabkowicz then lived in Chicago, where she worked in sales and business management. While in Chicago, Attorney Zabkowicz knew she wanted to fulfill her goal of attending law school – something she had originally planned for after graduation from college. She then returned to Wisconsin to attend law school at Marquette University. During her time at Marquette, Attorney Zabkowicz served on the boards of numerous organizations including serving as the President of the Association of Women Lawyers. Attorney Zabkowicz knew after her first year of law school that she wanted to focus on litigation. She honed her writing and advocacy skills by competing in the Jenkins Honorary Moot Court Competition and the National Moot Court Competition. She and her partner successfully competed through to the final round of the Jenkins Competition and argued their case before Judge William Griesbach of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Judge Diane Sykes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and United State Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan.

Attorney Zabkowicz began her law career as a worker’s compensation attorney, advocating for the rights of Wisconsin’s injured workers. Time and time again, she witnessed big businesses and insurance companies trying to take advantage of workers who literally built the foundation of our communities. She fought aggressively to ensure injured workers in Wisconsin were protected and received the compensation they deserved. She now advocates with the same passion for personal injury victims. Understanding her clients’ concerns and doing all she can to alleviate their worries are what she considers her strengths. She believes this understanding and advocacy will lead to successful relationships and results.

In her free time, Attorney Zabkowicz enjoys running and participates in many road races throughout the year. She and her husband are passionate about sports, including the Badgers, Packers, Brewers, and Bucks. They also love to explore Milwaukee and are excited about the revitalization of our great city.
